Nicely Developed
This is the best pool game ap I have tried. The controls are simple, screen size perfect, and the look and response of the balls incredible. The lock function is appreciated because on other pool aps I have tried, the aiming line will move slightly when you take your finger away. This prevents that, and you can unlock it simply by lifting your finger off again. I also like the way you can continue to move the cue ball around when playing ball in hand, even after you have tried aiming. Other aps prevent you from moving it again once it is placed and you move your finger to start aiming. You cannot control the cue ball with any spin, which is a bit of a drawback considering how realistic the ball and cushion response is, but then you cant do that with other free aps I have tried either, so I guess it is a moot point. There is one curiosity about this game though. Instead of using an image of a proper pool cue, the developers have for some reason opted to manipulate an image of a snooker cue to make it look like a pool cue. It looks really strange, and when considering the great attention to detail in all other aspects of the game, I find this hard to understand. Seems like it would be simpler to just use the image of a pool cue. Anyway, all in all a solid little pool ap and good way to kill some minutes. Very simple to adjust computer skill level too, for those complaining about not being able to win. Set the slider furthest left for skill option and you will never lose, unless you are a hopeless player:)
